Purposeful play – the Steve and Maggie way
Natural language learning
Steve and Maggie toys help children's language development through play, repetition and the use of emotion. Role-play with the Maggie glove puppet develops spoken fluency. Singing along with the Song Books improves rhythm. Audio instructions on the Flashcard Machine refine listening skills. Language learning the natural way.
Improving fine motor skills
Manipulating the Maggie glove puppet requires coordinated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Pressing buttons on the Song Books or inserting cards into the Flashcard Machine requires precision and dexterity. With our toys, children can practise fine motor skills in a way that comes entirely naturally to them.
No mobiles, tablets or computers
We created our toys in line with the tried-and-trusted Wow! Method which you'll know from YouTube (and elsewhere). Now, though, you can enjoy the benefits of our teaching method without phones or tablets. And that means your children are protected from additional harmful blue light.
Preparing children for school
Your child can use the Song Books and Flashcard Machine to practise key early learning topics such as colours, numbers, shapes, and the alphabet. What's more, the logic tasks from the Flashcard Machine improve children's logical thinking and awareness of the world around them.
Promoting imagination
Our toys are built on stories. Listening to stories in the Song Books and on the Flashcard Machine inspires mental visualisation and curiosity. Telling stories using the Maggie glove puppet ignites your child's imagination and creativity, and allows them to explore new ideas and possibilities.
Practising social skills
Stories from the Song Books and Flashcard Machine help children understand different facial expressions and emotions, and encourage them to see the world from another's perspective. Whereas the logic tasks on the Flashcard Machine promote critical thinking and an understanding of how the world works. All in a natural, playful way.
